Campaign results and unsubscribes

Read what happened after an email, SMS or WhatsApp campaign went out: the Results card (sent, delivered, opened, clicked, replied, unsubscribed and bookings), and for email the links people clicked, each recipient and their replies. Learn what an unsubscribe stops and what it doesn't.

What it is

Once a campaign starts sending, a Results card appears at the top of the campaign page, above the setup steps. It shows seven numbers for email, SMS and WhatsApp campaigns: Sent, Delivered, Opened, Clicked, Replied, Unsubscribed (Opted out for texts) and Bookings, each with its share of sent.

For email, the Schedule step also shows detailed Results: how many emails went out, what people did with them, and their replies.

Every campaign email ends with your business name, postal address and an Unsubscribe with one click link. Email apps also offer their own one-click unsubscribe. When a customer unsubscribes, QualiFlow records an email opt-out for your dealership and stops marketing email to them.

How to use it

To see the headline numbers for any campaign:

  1. Open Campaigns and open the campaign. The Results card is at the top.
  2. Read the line under the heading, for example "120 emails sent · 9 replies · 3 bookings".
  3. Select What these numbers mean for a plain explanation of each number.

For an email campaign's detail (links and each recipient):

  1. Open Campaigns and open the campaign.
  2. Open Schedule and scroll to Results. The heading says how it was sent: from a Gmail or Outlook mailbox or from your connected domain.
  3. Read the counts. Each one also shows its share of Sent.
  4. Check Links people clicked for the most clicked links.
  5. Open Each recipient to see who opened, clicked, unsubscribed or bounced.
  6. Under Replies, select Open in Inbox to answer a customer. Replies arrive in the Inbox like any other email.

What the data means

What the data means
CountWhat it means
SentEmails handed to your mailbox or sending domain
DeliveredReported only for email sent from your domain; "Not available" for Gmail or Outlook, with the note "Not reported for Gmail/Outlook sending"
OpenedAn estimate. Some email apps, like Apple Mail, open emails automatically
ClickedPeople who clicked a link. This is the reliable measure
UnsubscribedPeople who unsubscribed from this campaign
BouncedReported only for email sent from your domain

The Results card

The Results card
NumberWhat it means
SentMessages handed to the provider
DeliveredThe provider confirmed the message arrived. Gmail and Outlook mailboxes don't report delivery
Opened (Read for WhatsApp)Email opens (an estimate) or WhatsApp reads. "Not tracked for SMS": texts don't report opens
ClickedPeople who clicked a link in the email. "Not tracked" for SMS and WhatsApp
RepliedPeople who wrote back after the campaign; their replies are in the Inbox
Unsubscribed / Opted outPeople who used the unsubscribe link, or replied STOP to a text
BookingsPeople with a confirmed appointment booked within 14 days of their message. It followed the campaign; it isn't proof the campaign caused it

When opens and clicks aren't being counted, Opened and Clicked say "Tracking is off".

A marketing unsubscribe stops marketing email only. Service messages such as appointment reminders and ownership check-ins keep arriving, and the customer's unsubscribe page says so. A text STOP is separate: it stops texts (service texts included) to that number, but not calls or email. Service messages continue by email.

Possible issues and fixes

Delivered and Bounced say "Not available"

Symptom: Delivered and Bounced show "Not available", with the note "Not reported for Gmail/Outlook sending".

Why: The campaign was sent from a Gmail or Outlook mailbox. Those mailboxes don't report delivery or bounces; only your connected sending domain does.

Fix: Nothing to fix. To see these counts in future, send from a verified sending domain.

How to check: The Results heading says "Sent from your connected domain".

A customer unsubscribed and I want to email them again

Symptom: A customer shows Asked not to be emailed and is excluded from new audiences.

Why: They opened the unsubscribe link and chose Unsubscribe. Opening the page alone changes nothing. The opt-out applies only to your dealership.

Fix: You can't remove it for them. If the customer gives permission again, record it with evidence on their contact page.

How to check: A new audience check no longer excludes them.

I don't see the Results card

Symptom: The campaign page has no Results card.

Why: The card appears only after the first messages are sent. Call campaigns have no Results card.

Fix: Wait for the schedule to start sending.

How to check: The Schedule step shows the schedule as sending or sent.

The open count looks too high

Symptom: Opened is close to 100%.

Why: Some email apps open every email automatically to protect privacy, so opens are only an estimate.

Fix: Judge the campaign by Clicked and Replies.

How to check: Compare Links people clicked with your goal.
